The fantastic location of the Ayurveda Shunyata Villa ~ Sri Lanka
Our small and fine Ayurveda resort – Ayurveda Shunyata Villa – is located in Induruwa on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, about 65 km south of the capital Colombo. Depending on the time of day it is a 1.5 – 2 hours’ drive from the airport via the new highway.
Induruwa is a small fishing village. The major tourist centers Bentota, Aluthgama and Beruwala are 5-10 km further north.
In the middle of the idyllic Induruwa Beach, right on the Indian Ocean, you can spend your Ayurveda holidays at the Ayurveda Shunyata Villa. On the land side, the coastal road and the old English train line offer good travel connections to the north and south of Sri Lanka.
The well-maintained wide beach and the wonderful clean sea are the highlights of this place. Even fishermen from the surrounding area come with their boats because of the fish wealth in this stretch of sea. Here you can enjoy your Ayurveda cure and long beach walks in a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere, without being approached by beach vendors or “beach boys”.
The passage from the Ayurveda resort to the ocean is fluent, so that you can enjoy your meals in a fantastic, tropical atmosphere, for example under the mangroves on the beach. In the main season, the stone and coral free beach with its fine golden sand is perfect for bathing. However, in some months of the year it requires good swimming skills.
